Bonton Ferry Black IPA 5-gallon homebrew beer ingredient kit. Named after the steam ferry that would transport early-20th-century residents from Bangor and Brewer across the Penobscot River, our black IPA is the tastiest of contradictions: a black pale ale. This one has a most fragrant hop profile and a slightly roasty body, making it unlike any other beer you’ve ever had the pleasure to drink. Simcoe hops really shine in this one.
Color: 26 SRM (Dark Brown to Black). IBU: 59.8. ABV: 5.3%.
Extract kits include liquid and/or dry malt extract, plus crushed specialty grains with a grain sock to steep. Partial mash kits include malt extract, plus a larger amount of crushed base malt and specialty grains with a grain sock, and require extra steeping time. All-grain kits include crushed base malt and specialty grains, and require advanced technique and equipment.
All kits also include:
